Riverhead Central School District Polar Plungers Raise $5,000 For Special Olympics
Teachers from the district participated in the event on Saturday, Nov. 22.

Organizer Gary Karlson, an elementary teacher and a Riverhead Central Faculty Association officer, organized a team of Polar Plungers that participated in the Polar Plunge Special Olympics Fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Cedar Beach in Mount Sinai.
The event raised a total of $5,000 for the Special Olympics.

Riverhead Central School District teachers David Spinella, Kathleen Horn, Chuck Kitz, Kelly Dillon, and Roy Buccola also participated in the plunge.
