Riverhead Country Fair Unfolds With Fun For All Sunday

The beloved annual event gives a nod to the area's rich agricultural heritage.

RIVERHEAD, NY — One of the most popular events of the year heads to town Sunday as the 44th Annual Riverhead Country Fair unfolds.

The event, held on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Riverhead, features craft vendors, food, carnival rides and midway games for children. With ties to Riverhead's rich past, agricultural, homemaking and needlecraft exhibits and competitions are also held, with scores of categories to enter.

Animal rescue and civic groups are also onhand, as well as live entertainment.
