Riverhead Crash Results In Fuel Spill: FD

The Riverehead Fire Department worked to mitigate the leaking fluids, officials say.

RIVERHEAD, NY —A Riverhead crash resulted in a fuel spill Saturday, the Riverhead Fire Department said.

According to fire officials, the crash took place at about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Reeves and Roanoke Avenues.

Units secured the vehicles and applied absorbent material to contain and mitigate leaking fluids, officials said.

Firefighters also assisted with road closures in coordination with the Riverhead Police Department.

The Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps was also on the scene evaluating and treating occupants as needed, officials said.
