Riverhead Gas Station Held Up, Thief Sought

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Riverhead gas station was held up Thursday night and authorities are searching for the suspect, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, a report of a robbery at the Citgo Gas Station on Osborne Avenue came in Thursday night at 10:43 p.m.

The employee reported a man wearing all black clothing entered the store and demanded money; the employee handed over an undetermined amount of cash and then, the thief fled, heading south on Osborne Avenue, police said.
