Riverhead High School Hosts Annual Open House
Parents and guardians of the students attended the open house on Thursday, Sept 11.

Riverhead High School hosted its annual Open House on Thursday, Sept. 11.
The evening began in the school’s new cafeteria, where parents picked up their schedule from the high school guidance counselors and administrators. Also in the cafeteria were student representatives from various clubs at the high school, who answered questions and signed up students for the 2014-2015 school year.
Once the parents and guardians had their child’s class schedule, they filed into the auditorium where Riverhead High School Principal Charles Regan greeted them and thanked them for coming to meet the teachers and administrators.

Dr. Regan pointed out the access location of the parent portal and student portal on the district website and encouraged those in attendance to look for a letter in the mail which explained how to access grades as well as attendance information on the parent portal.
Then it was off to their child’s first class to meet the teachers. With the help of NJROTC cadets who acted as guides, they made it to their first period class before the bell rang.
