No 'Suspicious Activity' Found After LI Home Depot Bomb Threat: Police

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Home Depot store in Riverhead was evacuated Monday morning after a bomb threat, police said.

According to Riverhead Town police, the initial threat was called in before 9 a.m.; at just after 11 a.m., Riverhead police were still at the store on Old Country Road.

A search of the building revealed no sign of suspicious activity or any bomb-making materials, police said.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information related to the incident is asked to call the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500.
