Riverhead Man Cuffed After Driving Drunk: Police
The man was initially stopped for traffic infractions, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Riverhead man was cuffed after he was caught driving drunk Sunday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, Paul J. Rysanek, 23, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. on Lake Avenue in Northampton by the community response unit and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
He was stopped for traffic infractions and subsequent investigation indicated that he was operating his vehicle while he was intoxicated, police said.

He was arrested at the scene, transported to police headquarters for processing and held for morning arraignment, police said.
