Riverhead swimmers qualify for county championship

Brianna Cybulski and Tercia Dobrzynski, have qualified to compete at the Suffolk County Championship Swim Meet on Nov. 4.

From Riverhead Central School District: Two Riverhead High School independent swimmers, Brianna Cybulski and Tercia Dobrzynski, have qualified to compete at the Suffolk County Championship Swim Meet on Nov. 4.

Cybulski, a sophomore, will be competing once again at the meet in the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 breaststroke. She additionally qualified in the 100 butterfly, but is only permitted to compete in two events. In her first year on the Riverhead Independent team, ninth-grader Dobrzynski also qualified to compete. She will race in the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle events. Both swimmers, along with fellow teammate eighth-grader Johanna Governali worked extremely hard throughout the year, practicing with private swim
clubs year-round. The Riverhead Central School District extends its congratulations to all the athletes on excellent swim season.
