Riverhead Woman Charged With Animal Cruelty: SPCA
She failed to give the dog, who was kept in unsanitary conditions, proper sustenance, the SPCA says.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Riverhead woman was charged with animal cruelty, the Suffolk County SPCA said.
Suffolk County SPCA detectives charged Alicia Spradley, 33, with animal neglect for failure to provide proper sustenance, a misdemeanor, on Thursday, the SPCA said.
The dog, a 9-year old female pit bull, was living in substandard and unsanitary conditions with an untreated injury, the SPCA said.

Spradley is due in Southampton Justice Court on November 3, the SPCA said.
