Robber Grabs Woman, Steals Cash: Police
He stole $140 from her jacket pocket and fled on foot, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A woman was robbed in Riverhead Thursday night, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, the incident took place at 5:26 p.m. near the intersection of Riverside Drive and East Main Street. The woman said that an unknown man approached her on the road, grabbed her, and demanded money; he then reached into her jacket pocket and took $140, police said.
The men fled on foot onto East Main Street, heading east; a K9 officer was requested and the Suffolk County Sheriff's K9 officer responded, police said.

A search was conducted but the man was not found, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone that may have witnessed the incident is asked to call the Riverhead Police Department's detective division at (631) 727-4500 ext. 326. All calls will be kept in confidence.
