Robber Holds Gun To Man's Head In Suffolk: Police
A man held a handgun to his head while another went into his pocket and stole his wallet, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A Riverhead man had a gun held to his head during a robbery Monday night, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, the incident took place at 8 p.m. on East Main Street near Prospect Place. The 30-year-old man was leaving the area near the El Chapincito Deli on East Main Street and walking near Prospect Place when he was approached by two males who demanded all of his belongings, police said.
One produced a black handgun, held it against the man's head, and again demanded his property, while the other went into the man's pockets and removed his wallet, containing cash as well as other personal items, police said.

The pair then fled on foot into the River Pointe apartment complex on East Main Street, police said. Patrol units as well as a police dog responded to the area to search, but were unsuccessful, police said.
Both robbers were about 19 years old and wearing blue jeans. One wore a white sweater and the other wore a blue sweater, police said.

Police say that a gray or silver passenger car, possibly a Mercedes, seen exiting the complex's parking lot a short time later, may have been involved.
