Man Charged With DWI After Crash Into LI Home Kills 1: Police
Police have also identified the man who died in the crash.
FLANDERS, NY — A Riverhead man has been charged with driving while intoxicated after a Friday morning crash in Flanders that left Noe Hernandez-Nunez, 36, of Riverside, dead, police said.
Santiago Monzon-Archila, 40, was arrested and charged with DWI; additional charges are expected, Southampton Town Police said.
Monzon-Archila was taken to the Southampton Town Police Department and processed, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, the crash took place at 5:03 a.m. at a home on Flanders Road near Long Neck Boulevard. Monzon-Archila, who was driving a 2007 Toyota sedan and heading west, careened into the two-story residence on Flanders Road, with four people, including three adults and a child inside, police said. No one in the house was injured, police said.
Hernandez-Nunez was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. Both he and Monzon-Archila were taken to the hospital by Flanders-Northampton Volunteer Ambulance, police said.

Southampton Police detectives, New York State Police, Southampton Town fire marshals and the Flanders Fire Department also responded to the scene, police said.
