Woman 'Seriously Injured' In Ridge Home Fire

She was transported by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital Burn Center, Suffolk police said.

RIDGE, NY — Suffolk County Police Arson Section detectives are investigating a fire that seriously injured a Ridge woman on Thursday morning, a spokeswoman said.

The fire broke out at a Manhasset Trail home at about 5:30 a.m., and the woman, who lives at the home, was transported by the Ridge Fire Department to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of "serious injuries," police said.

Another resident of the home was not injured in the fire, according to police.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but does not appear suspicious at this time, police said.
