Car Strikes Restaurant In Middle Island
The driver had been attempting to park when the car went into building Saturday afternoon, Suffolk police said.
MIDDLE ISLAND, NY - A driver was attempting to park when they inadvertently drove forward and struck Lucia restaurant in Middle Island at about noon on Saturday, Suffolk police said.
A gas pipe was also struck and the gas was turned off, according to police. It was not immediately clear if anyone was inside the restaurant at the time of the crash.
No one was injured.
The Brookhaven Town Building Inspector is expected to respond to evaluate the scene, police said.
