Sag Harbor Clerk Nabbed For Selling Alcohol To A Minor: Cops

LAUREL, NY — A clerk was charged with selling alcohol to a minor in an underage drinker enforcement operation conducted in Southold Town Tuesday, New York State Police said.

According to police, the New York State Police Barracks in Riverside conducted the detail and one retail establishment was cited for selling an alcoholic beverage to an undercover police operative under the age of 21.

Olcay Bekin, 40, of Sag Harbor, was arrested at Orhan Mini-Mart on Main Rd. in Laurel and charged with first degree unlawful dealing with a child and prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage, police said.
