"Scoop For Scholarship" At Ralph's Famous Italian Ice On Sunday

Ralph’s Famous Italian Ices on 309 E. Main Street in Riverhead will host “Scoop for Scholarship“ on Sunday, Sept. 21 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Riverhead Central Faculty Association (RCFA) members are volunteering their time to help raise money for the RCFA Scholarship Fund. For every purchase during those three hours, an RCFA member will scoop and Ralph’s Famous Italian Ices will generously donate to the fund.

“Our children and their future are very important to us, so having the opportunity to give back to their school, education and our community is a great honor,” said Frank LoPresti, co-owner with Melany Halliwell of Ralph’s Famous Italian Ices of Riverhead.

All monies raised at this event will be earmarked for elementary scholarships to arts and other enrichment programs.

“When we learned of this opportunity,” said Donna Verbeck, RCFA Executive Board Member and organizer of this event, “it seemed like a natural fit. We are grateful to Ralph’s Famous Italian Ices for their generosity in helping to create unique educational opportunities for the elementary students of the Riverhead Central School District.”
