Search On For Masked Gas Station Robbers

RIVERHEAD, NY — The search is on for the men who robbed two Mobil gas stations in February, police said.

According to New York State Police, the gas stations were located at 1575 Old Country Road in Riverhead and 3705 Middle Country Road in Calverton. Two men robbed the Riverhead Mobil on Feb. 24 at approximately 7:30 p.m., police said. About 13 minutes later, two men robbed the Calverton Mobil; it appears the robberies were related and were committed by the same people, police said.

In video footage of the crime, one man appears to brandish a handgun while another makes off with a pile of cash.
