Search On For Suspects Wanted In Attempted Armed Robbery: PD

RIVERHEAD, NY — Police are searching for two men who attempted to rob an East End store at gunpoint Saturday night.

At 8:11 p.m., the Riverhead Town police department responded to Lucky Wines & Liquors in Riverhead for a reported attempted robbery, authorities said.

A store employee reported two male subjects wearing masks entered the store with what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money, police said.

Both fled the store with no proceeds, police said.

Riverhead Police patrol units and Riverhead K-9 unit canvassed the area and were unable to locate the two unknown men, police said; Riverhead detective were notified.
