Shoplifter Nabbed At Tanger: Police
The man allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from a Tanger store, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — An East Elmhurst man was busted on Saturday after shoplifting from Tanger in Riverhead, police said.
A call came in at 3:05 p.m. about a shoplifter at the Tanger Factory Outlet in Riverhead; upon arrival it was determined that Milton Vera Lopez, 50, was observed removing assorted women's clothing valued at $1,139.05 from the Express Clothing Factory Outlet without paying, police said.
Lopez was arrested and charged with fourth degree grand larceny, a felony, police said.

Lopez was processed and held for a morning arraignment in Riverhead Justice Court, police said.
