State Police Report: DWI Arrest, Three Drug Related Arrests

State Police-Riverside report the following arrests in the area over the past week:

• Juan Garcia Zet, 31, of Riverhead, was arrested on Monday, April 27 for driving while intoxicated after driving through a red light and crashing into on State Route 25 at the intersection of County Route 58 in Riverhead. He was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Riverhead Court on May 6.
• Lawrence Acevedo, 47, of Shirley, was arrested on Wednesday, April 29 for unlawful possession of marijuana after military personnel at the entrance to the 106 Air National Guard Base in Westhampton contacted State Police following a security vehicle check. Acevedo was found to be in possession of marijuana and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Southampton Court at a later date.
• Jhmil Dawson , 28, of Riverside and Robert Zaino, 42 of Coram, were both arrested on Wednesday, April 29 for seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after they were found with heroin after a traffic stop on East Main Street in Riverhead. Zaino also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Both men were released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Riverhead Court on May 18.
