Student's Threat To Shoot Christians 'Non-Criminal': Police

The threat to shoot Christians and Catholics at a local high school was investigated and deemed "non-criminal," police say.

SOUTHOLD, NY — A student threat to shoot "Catholics and Christians" at a North Fork High school was deemed "non-criminal," police said.

According to Southold Town Police Chief Martin Flatley, the incident, where a student threatened to shoot others from those religious groups, was reported by Southold High School Thursday, fully investigated, "and found to be non-criminal and not a threat," he said.

Tensions have been high nationwide after the Parkland, FL shooting and a most recent shooting in Texas Friday that left 10 dead.
