18-Year-Old Charged In Suffolk Bank Robberies
Police say he robbed the same bank on back-to-back days.

MASTIC, NY – An 18-year-old man is accused of a robbing a Suffolk County bank on back-t0-back days.
Shakeem Smith, of Mastic Beach, robbed the HSBC bank located at 1718 Montauk Highway in Mastic on Tuesday and Wednesday, Suffolk Police said. In both robberies, Smith approached a teller and presented a note demanding cash, police said.
Major Case Unit detectives charged Smith with two counts of third degree robbery. He was held overnight at the Seventh Precinct and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday.
