Suffolk County Sheriffs hold their community and family day
Sheriffs Department open house draws a crowd.
On Sunday September 28th, the Suffolk County Sheriffs Department held their annual community and family day. The event was held in the parking lot of the correctional facility on route 24 in Riverhead.
The day consisted of many different demonstrations and events for the entire family. Some of which included jail tours, a K-9 demonstration , Marine Bureau demonstrations and some bike safety. The Sheriffs Office also had on display all different vehicles from their departments different units for the public to see . Hundreds of people came out to the event throughout the day the and had a good time.
