Summer Reading Comes Alive For Riverhead Students

A local illustrator came to meet the excited kids recently.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Literature came alive recently when first-graders participating in the Riverhead Central School District’s summer ENL program met local illustrator Megan Dichtl.

During the visit, Dichtl read the book, “When the Lion...,” which she illustrated. She also spoke to students about her profession, a release from the district said.
