Tanger Store Employees Robbed in Early Morning Heist: Police
Employees opening the store for the day were robbed by a thief who fled with the money, police said.
RIVERHEAD, NY — Employees opening a Tanger store for the day early Monday were robbed, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, a call came in at 6:19 a.m. from the Guess Outlet, located at Suite 1006 in Tanger 2, at 1770 West Main Street, about a robbery.
When police arrived, two store employees reported that while opening for the day an unknown male entered the store and announced a robbery, police said.

He fled in an unknown direction with the undisclosed amount of proceeds, police said.
The Riverhead Town Police Detective Division responded and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
