Teen Airlifted To Hospital After Boating Accident

The teen was injured when he fell off a boat Wednesday morning, police say.

CENTER MORICHES, NY – A teenage boy was airlifted to the hospital after a boating accident off Long Island Wednesday morning. According to Suffolk Police, the teen fell off a boat in Moriches Bay near the Moriches Yacht Club at about 10:55 a.m.

The teen was struck in the left arm by the boat's propeller. He was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police have not released the boy's name. Seventh Squad detectives are investigating.
