Teen Arrested After Burglarizing Riverhead Home
The man was arrested on Friday after an investigation into a Riverhead burglary in May.

A Bronx teen was arrested on Friday for burglarizing a Riverhead home back in May, according to Riverhead Town Police.
A burglary was reported on a Horton Avenue home on May 18 at 10:13 a.m., police said.
An unknown person broke the rear sliding glass door by throwing a brick through it, police said.

The person then entered a bedroom and took two safes from a closet, police said.
The Riverhead Detective Division was notified and initiated an investigation into the burglary which lead to the arrest of Tyrek R. Highsmith, 19, police said.

He was charged with second degree burglary and held for arraignment, according to police.
