Teens Charged in Gunpoint Robberies: Police

BREAKING: The two were arrested on Sunday for two recent armed robberies, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A pair of teens was charged in two armed robberies that took place recently around Riverhead Town, police said.

According to the Riverhead Police Department, Maximillian H. Bonilla, 18, of Mattituck, and Joseph G. Worysz, 19, of Southold, were arrested; Bonilla was charged with three counts of second degree robbery, a felony, and Worysz was charged with two counts of second degree robbery, a felony.

The first robbery took place on December 28, when a masked subject allegedly held up a GameStop on Old Country Road in Riverhead at gunpoint, police said.

Next, on New Year's Day, Bolla Market, located on Middle Country Road in Calverton, was robbed by two masked subjects with handguns, police said.

Bonilla and Worysz were charged, processed and held for arraignment, police said.
