Thefts From Cars Reported Overnight: Police

Police are warning residents to lock their cars in their driveways after a string of larcenies or attempted larcenies in the Springs area.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — Police are warning residents to lock their car doors, even when parked in their own driveways.

East Hampton Town Police said they have received several reports of larcenies or attempted larcenies from vehicles in residential neighborhoods including Springs during the overnight hours recently.

Residents are also advised to remove valuables from their vehicles, try to have motion sensor lights in their driveways, and to contact the EHTPD should they notice any suspicious activity on their streets.
