Thief Steals Two 43-Inch TVs From Walmart: Cops

RIVERHEAD, NY — The search is on for a thief who was caught red-handed trying to swipe two 43-inch televisions from Walmart in Riverhead, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole the merchandise from the store, located at 1890 Old Country Road, on Aug. 23 at 8:30 a.m., police said.

Store security confronted the man and recovered one TV, but the suspect fled the store with the other television, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
