Thief Stole 2 Shotguns From Homeowner's Garage: Police

LAUREL, NY — The search is on for a thief who stole two shotguns from a garage in Laurel, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, a report came in on Thursday at 10:29 p.m. about a burglary on Beach Road.

The homeowner said that sometime between Monday and Thursday, an unknown person entered the unlocked garage and removed two shotguns, among other items, police said.

The Riverhead Police Department's detective division is investigating; anyone with information about the crime is asked to 631-727-4500 ext. 327. All calls will be kept confidential.
