Thief Stole Cash, Tablet From Riverhead Home: Cops

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Riverhead home was burglarized Tuesday and the search is on for the suspect, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, a report came in on Tuesday at 9:46 p.m. about a residential burglary on Union Avenue.

Police determined that the burglary had taken place earlier in the day; the detective division was notified and responded to the scene.

The investigation revealed that an undetermined amount of cash and a Samsung tablet had been stolen from the residence by the thief, police said.
