A Wading RIver man has been charged in a gunpoint robbery that took place at a gas station last month, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, Kevin P. Warner, 20, was arrested on Thursday at 6 p.m. and charged with one count of robbery in the first degree, a felony.
The arrest was made following an investigation into a reported robbery at the Valero gas station on New York State Route 25A that took place on January 23 during the blizzard, police said.

Police said Warner, who allegedly stole $900 from the gas station at gunpoint, was in the custody of the Suffolk County Correctional Facility; he was taken to the Riverhead police department, processed, and arraigned at Riverhead justice court.
Police originally said an unknown male entered the store and produced a handgun, demanding money from an employee.
