Thief Who Stole From Polo At Riverhead Tanger Nabbed: Cops

RIVERHEAD, NY — A thief who stole more than $1,000 in merchandise from Polo at Tanger in Riverhead in August has been apprehended, police said.

According to Riverhead Police, a report came in on August 25 about a larceny that had taken at the Polo store, where a woman had stolen $1,099 in assorted clothing from the location.

Mellissa D. Tricoche, 51, of Patchogue was arrested on Nov. 13 in relation to the incident, police said.

Tricoche was charged with one count of fourth degree grand larceny, police said.

She was processed, arraigned and subsequently transferred to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility in Riverhead, where she is being held in lieu of $2500 cash bail, police said.
