Three Goats Found Beheaded, Dumped in Calverton

Suffolk County SPCA investigating the "possible ritualistic killings."

The Suffolk County SPCA is investigating possible ritualistic killings after three goats were beheaded and dumped in Calverton.

The bodies of the dead goats were found on the Otis Pike Preserve on Line Road and their heads were found nearby along with fruits and vegetables, according to the SPCA.

Suffolk SPCA Chief Roy Gross said the “gruesome discovery” was reported to New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, who then reported it to the Suffolk SPCA.

The SPCA is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
