Tractor Parade Sends Message Of Thanks From Farmers To Hospital

"The farming community turned out in big numbers to thank our amazing healthcare workers. It was truly a heartwarming moment of hope."

RIVERHEAD, NY— The local farming community turned out in force Tuesday to honor front line heroes at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead with a drive-by tractor parade.

The event, organized by the Long Island Farm Bureau, was marked by hometown pride and support as the steady stream of tractors, decorated with message of thanks, passed by the hospital.

"Local farmers in our area were instrumental in establishing Central Suffolk Hospital over 60 years ago, which later became Peconic Bay Medical Center," Riverhead Town Councilwoman Catherine Kent said. "That partnership between the farmers and the hospital is still strong. Tonight the farming community turned out in big numbers to thank our amazing PBMC healthcare workers. It was truly a heartwarming moment of hope."
