Trespasser Caused Damage To Downtown Riverhead Building: Police
BREAKING: The man climbed a fence and damaged a building vent and screen, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Riverhead man was caught trespassing downtown in the early morning hours Tuesday, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, a 911 call came in at 3:30 a.m. about a suspicious person behind the Turkuaz Grill, located at 40 McDermott Avenue.
Authorities determined that Ruben Alvarez Ortiz, 35, had climbed a fence and damaged a building vent and screen, police said.

Alvarez Ortiz was charged with fourth degree criminal mischief and third degree criminal trespass, processed, and held for arraignment, police said.
