Two Teens Shot in Riverhead
The two were shot by an unknown man on Saturday night, police say.

Two teens were hospitalized after they were shot in Riverhead on Saturday night, according to Riverhead Town Police.
Police responded to the corner of Grove Street and South Oakland Drive at about 10:30 p.m. on a report of two people suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.
Police found an 18-year-old woman with a gunshot wound on her upper left arm and a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound on his upper right arm, police said.

The victims said that an unknown man pointed a handgun at them and fired several shots, police said.
The shooter then fled the area on foot, according to police.

The victims were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of their injuries, police said.
The injuries do not appear to be life threatening, police said.
