Vacuum Cleaner Thief Nabbed: Police

RIVERHEAD, NY — A thief who stole a vacuum cleaner from Target has been caught, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, a larceny was reported on Dec. 4 at the Target Store, located on Old Country Road in Riverhead.

An unknown an removed a Dyson vacuum cleaner from the store valued at $599.99 without paying, police said.

After an investigation was conducted by the Riverhead COPE division, Brian Jenkins was arrested and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor, police said.

Jenkins was arraigned in Riverhead Town Justice Court and held at the Suffolk County Correctional Facility, police said.
