Veterans Turn Out For Educational Event Spotlighting Benefits

The nation's greatest heroes were given a chance to learn about health care and other benefits they're eligible for in East Hampton.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — In advance of Veterans Day, heroes who might need a helping hand with health care and other benefits were spotlighted in East Hampton recently.

A veterans' benefits seminar was co-sponsored by the American Legion Post 419 and Veterans of Foreign War Post 550 and held at the American Legion on Montauk Highway in East Hampton last month.

The purpose of the seminar was to inform veterans and their spouses about enrollment in health care services and benefits afforded them after years of making the ultimate sacrifice for the nation. The event provided an invaluable opportunity for veterans and their loved ones to ask questions and gather critical information.
