Man Smashes Car With Pipe in Long Island Road Rage Incident: Police
It happened Friday night, police say.

WADING RIVER, NY - A car accident escalated after the individuals involved got into an altercation and one damaged a vehicle with a pipe, police said.
According to Riverhead Police, the incident took place Friday night at 9:12 p.m. when a 911 call came in about a motor vehicle accident on Long Pond Road in Wading River.
Prior to police arrival an additional 911 call was received indicating that a dispute between the individuals involved had started, police said.

Upon police arrival it was determined that a physical altercation had ensued between the parties and one of the vehicles had been damaged with a pipe, police said.
The Riverhead Police Department Detective Division was notified and responded to the scene. An investigation into the incident led to the arrest of Eric A. Randazzo, 33, of Wading River, who was charged with second degree criminal mischief, a felony, police said.

Randazzo was transported to Riverhead Police Department where he was processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
