Ken LaValle Wins New York's 1st Senate District Race
Incumbent New York State Senator Ken LaValle won the race against Greg Fischer.

LONG ISLAND, NY — The voters have spoken and incumbent New York State Senator Kenneth LaValle, a Republican, won the race against challenger Greg Fischer, a Democrat for New York's 1st Senate District.
LaValle bested Fischer by a margin of 65,933 to 47,084, according to an unofficial tally by the Suffolk County Board of Elections.
New York State's 1st Senate District is made up of the five East End towns of Long Island and the eastern half of the Town of Brookhaven.
