Winning $50K Lottery Ticket Sold In Riverhead

RIVERHEAD, NY — A winning $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold in Riverhead, the New York Lottery announced Sunday.

The third-prize-winning ticket was purchased at the ShopRite store in Riverhead; another was sold at Northern 1 Convenience in Flushing.

The winning numbers for the Powerball drawing on April 2 were: 6, 28, 47, 58, and 59 and the Powerball was 18.

Players can securely check their tickets on the New York Lottery app. The winner has one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The Powerball number is drawn from a separate field one to of 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 11 p.m. The jackpot for the drawing to be held on April 4 is an estimated $231 million.
