Woman Busted for Fraudulent Returns At Lowe's: Police

The woman returned merchandise fraudulently for cash four times in a month, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Sound Beach woman was busted for making fraudulent returns to Lowe's in Riverhead, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, on June 20, police received a report of an unknown female making fraudulent returns for cash at the Lowe's located at 1461 Old Country Road.

Riverhead Police Department's COPE unit conducted an investigation and it was determined that Denise Reany, 53, had made four fraudulent returns to the store between May 16 and June 22 for the amount of $248.84, police said.

She was arrested, charged with four counts of petty larceny, processed and released on bail, police said.
