Woman Charged With DWI Had BAC More Than 2x Legal Limit: Cops

She was arrested in Wading River, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY —A Riverhead woman was charged with driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of more than twice the legal limit, police said.

According to New York State Police, on April 7 at 3:46 a.m., Catherine Antanaitis, 32, was driving on State Route 25 in Wading River and was stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation.

Upon further investigation, Antanaitis was found to be intoxicated with a BAC of .19%., police said; the legal limit is .08%.

Antanaitis was arrested, charged with driving while intoxicated, and released on an appearance ticket, police said.
