Woman Stole East Hampton Resident's Identity To Get Job: Police
She stole the identity of an East Hampton woman in order to get hired for a job at a North Fork nursery, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Calverton woman was cuffed and charged after she stole another woman's identity, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, Ana P. Gomez Sanchez, 21, was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of first degree identity theft.
Her arrest came after an investigation regarding a report made by an East Hampton woman, 60, who said she'd been receiving notices of past due payments from the IRS for income she had failed to report from North Fork Nursery, located on Herricks Lane in Jamesport, police said.

Gomez Sanchez unlawfully used the woman's identity in order to gain employment at the nursery and had been doing so for a period of three years, police said.
Gomez Perez was transported to the Riverhead Police Department, where she was processed and held for arraignment, police said.
