Women Stabbed Repeatedly In LI Parking Lot: Police
She was rushed into emergency surgery Wednesday, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A woman was stabbed during a fight in Riverhead Wednesday, police said.
According to Riverhead Police, a 911 call came in at 2:56 p.m. about two females fighting in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven on West Main Street. Domonique Scaggs, 31, of Riverhead, was found with "extensive" stab wounds and lacerations to her lung and spleen, police said.
Elease Jackson, 29, of Riverhead, was determined to be responsible for stabbing Scaggs, police said. Jackson was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said. She was held for arraignment at Riverhead Town Justice Court, police said.

Scaggs was transported to a local hospital by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps and rushed into emergency surgery, police said. Scaggs is currently out of surgery and in stable condition, police said.
Detectives were called to the scene; an investigation revealed that the women knew each other and the incident wasn't a random attack, police said.
