10 New Ways to Say “The dog ate the homework"

10 New Ways to Say “The dog ate the homework;” unavailable to us Baby Boomers at the time:

1) My computer crashed.

2) I dropped my iPhone and the SIM card was damaged, so I lost all my data.

3) My anti-virus program didn’t catch a back-door worm that hijacked my browser and infected all my files, so I can’t even open them.

4) Siri thought I said, “Erase everything.”

5) I sent the document to print, but the computer and printer aren’t recognizing each other, because you can’t update Windows 7 any more, and the printer software is out of date, so there are no new drivers for them.

6) I wrote the document on a different computer, and mine can’t read the document format.

7) I thought I was deleting an old version of my document, and then I emptied the trash, but it turns out that it was the current version, and you can’t retrieve anything after you empty the trash. I really tried.

8) See #5 above, and it was Sunday, so I couldn’t print the homework at the library because it was closed.

9) I don’t have a scanner, so I couldn’t scan and email the homework instead, and even if I tried, my email won’t let me send that big a document as an attachment.

10) The dog wiped the hard drive.
