Work along Route 9A will push the celebration to 2016.

The 2015 Ardsley Day celebration, scheduled for Sept. 20, has been canceled this year due to planned construction along Route 9A, according to the event’s organizers and Ardsley Mayor Peter Porcino.

Specific details regarding the road-widening project for 9A have now been confirmed. Not only will the entire American Legion Park area (where the Westchester bus stops) be affected, but the entire eastern side of 9A will be undergoing improvements.
We are under a deadline, and the Village cannot delay the timing of this project.

Based on concerns for the safety of attendees, as well as the inability to predict what areas in downtown would be available - we’ve made the decision to cancel the event this year. In the Spring, we will designate a date for Ardsley Day 2016.
Ardsley Day was originally created to encourage walking in the Village. We also feel that it is an important day for residents to get to know our local merchants and all that is offered in the Village.
We look forward to an amazing event in 2016 to grandly “re-open” Ardsley to our residents.
In the meantime, please make the effort to visit our restaurants and local businesses during construction!
See you in 2016!
