2017-18 School Calendar For Dobbs Ferry

The first day of school may be closer than you think. So, it’s time to dust off those backpacks and make some plans. To help, here are some important dates noted in the Irvington Union Free School District Calendar for 2017-18:

• Superintendent’s Conference Day: August 30-31
• Labor Day (school closed): Sept. 4
• First day of school: Sept. 5
• Rosh Hashanah (school closed): Sept. 21-22
• Columbus Day (school closed): Oct. 9
• Superintendent’s Conference Day: Nov. 7
• Veterans Day (school closed): Nov. 10
• Thanksgiving (school closed): Nov. 23-24
• Holiday recess: Dec. 25-Jan. 1 (school resumes Jan. 2)
• Martin Luther King Jr. holiday (school closed): Jan. 15
• Mid-winter recess: Feb. 19-23
• Holiday recess: March 30-April 6
• Memorial Day recess (school closed): May 25-28
• Last day of school: June 22

Yeah, we know it's too early to think about it, but if emergency school closings necessitate make-up days, they will be scheduled in the following order: May 25, April 6 and April 5.
